Arnold Schoenberg: Conservative Radical

Concert Series at Merkin Hall, NYC 1998.

Gathering performers such as conductor Robert Craft, violinist Rolf Schulte and clarinetist Charlie Neidich; speakers including conductor James Levine and composers Milton Babbitt and Charles Wuorinen; actor David Margulies and Arnold Schonberg's son, Larry, this three-day series was accompanied by an exhibition of photographs and reproductions of letters and music manuscripts put together by Schoenberg's daughter, Nuria.

The group that performed Chamber Symphony, Op. 9 went on to record it.
